We use our platforms to discover and optimize candidates with the most challenging design requirements. Using high-throughput experimentation and machine learning, we engineer all key properties of a biologic simultaneously (affinity, mono- or multi-specificity, developability etc.), accelerating the path from discovery to a clinically viable therapeutic.

Some applications include:

• Targeting species homologs and highly mutable viruses with cross-reactive binders—such as our partnership with Gilead to engineer a broadly neutralizing HIV treatment
• Affinity-tuned binders that achieve the right balance of potency and selectivity for use as avidity-driven bispecifics, locally active cytokines, and more

Our approach expands the searchable effector-target interaction space, identifying and validating novel weak interactions to inform molecular glue discovery campaigns—as exemplified by our partnerships with Amgen and Bristol Myers Squibb. We’re able to unlock previously undruggable targets, broaden the impact of induced proximity with more effector proteins, and dramatically increase the likelihood of finding functional molecular glues.

Our unique workflow includes:

• Measuring otherwise undetectable interactions between effector and target proteins at unprecedented scale and sensitivity
• Characterizing interactions between protein mutants to map the binding interface and inform the deliberate discovery of molecular glues
• Applying an extra dimension of our experimental platform—AlphaSeq 3D—to directly screen small molecule libraries against networks of effectors and targets, amplifying hit rates for compounds that induce proximity

We provide our AlphaSeq and AlphaBind platforms as a service for discovering and optimizing antibodies for affinity and developability. Starting with a partner’s existing parental antibody, or leveraging our in-house phage library, we rapidly deliver diverse, potent, specific, and highly developable antibodies.

Some applications include:

• Measuring the binding profile of one or more existing parental antibodies and rapidly optimizing their affinity and developability
• Applying our in-house phage library, AlphaPan—featuring a diversity of over 100 billion binders—to discover thousands of sequence- and epitope-diverse hits against a target of interest
