A New Home for A-Alpha Bio

With a new year comes a new home for A-Alpha Bio! After four years in our incubator space at Fluke Hall and CoMotion Labs at the University of Washington, A-Alpha Bio has moved into our custom-designed space in the heart of Seattle. You can read coverage in the Puget Sound Business Journal here

The A-Alpha Bio team more than doubled in size through 2022, to a current team of 40 – a need for more lab and office space was the primary motivator for relocating.

A-Alpha Bio operates at the intersection of life science and data science, and so we needed a blend of wet lab space and traditional office space – a balance that is not easy to find in existing biotech real estate. We spent the last year custom-designing the space to reflect our team’s needs and to allow for close collaboration between wet lab and dry lab.

The 11,000-square-foot lab and office space is in a prime location at 4th and Blanchard – just a stone’s throw away from the historic Pike Place Market, the Amazon Spheres, the Westlake light rail station, and multiple other biotechs in the area.

We cannot wait to continue collaborating, building community, and working to accelerate the future of medicine. We are very grateful to those who have contributed to this milestone.

Thank you from all of us at A-Alpha, and Happy New Year!
